5 Ways To Stop Yourself Worrying So Much

🤷‍♀️How many times have you built something up in your head and when it actually happens you realise that it wasn’t even close to being as bad as you imagined it would be?

👉🏻When you feel like you are starting to worry about something the best thing to do is to get up and do something right there and then

Worry happens when we are DOING NOTHING!!

👉🏻Use the 5 second rule – count to 5 then right on 5 you have to get up and do something! Just like a shuttle – 5,4,3,2,1 – TAKE OFF! 🚀

 👉🏻Get up and move! Do whatever you can – cook something, clean – anything to re-focus and re-set your mindset from negative thinking to more useful thoughts

 👉🏻Schedule in your worry time – I talk about this in The Anxiety Toolkit. Schedule in worry time every day. Set aside 15 – 30 minutes each day to think about the things that are worrying you. When something pops into your head outside this time acknowledge it and shelve it until later on. During your worry time write down everything you are thinking about

 👉🏻 Once your ‘worry time’ is over make sure you do one of the above and do something to distract yourself from what you have been thinking about
